    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The Funds Management Specialist will perform duties under the supervision of the Accounting Manager. As Funds Management Specialist, this position will be trained in all facets of Individual Accounts review and maintenance. The role will also include learning and maintaining the Individual Accounts Log in sheet. This role will also be responsible for stamping and tracking all requests for funds from the Residential, Individual Supports and Shared Living Departments. This position will be compensated on an hourly basis.  

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Monthly in-depth review and reconciliation of Individual accounts as approved from Residential Program Director.
    • Preparation of Correction statement in icentrix upon reviewed Individual accounts.
    • Complete stamp tracking documentation for funds for Individuals as requested by residential support staff tracking all authorized banking transactions.
    • Monitor reserved fund for each Individual to assure that they remain under the resource cap for their entitlements.
    • Follow up on requested corrections, resubmission of accounts once corrections have been completed and reviewed by Residential director.
    • Work in collaboration with Residential management to ensure even workflow and all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
    • Keep Residential Department abreast of status through emailing the Individual Accts Log in sheet, on a weekly basis to all residential supervisor to include RHM, ARHM, PD, Director of Residential Services, Accounting Manager, VP Residential services, and CFO/ Executive VP.
    • Cross trained with Entitlement Specialist essential duties.            
    • House Budget Reconciliation monthly as assigned.
    • Processing Social Security Administration (SSA) banking and Navision entries of Monthly deposits of Entitlements record the separation of Stipend payments as well as personal spending.
    • Maintain fluency with Individual and Residential Funds Management Policies and Procedures.
    • Maintain CPR & AED Certifications.

    MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Attendance at administrative and other meetings as required.
    • Provide recommendations to your supervisor regarding ways to improve the current systems
    • Observe all Agency policies and procedures
    • Accept responsibility and accountability as part of the position
    • Maintain confidentiality and positive demeanor while successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously 
    • Electronic filing duties as assign by supervisor
    • Other duties as assigned

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
    • Minimum of five years related experience, non-profit environment preferred
    • Experience with Navision, or other general ledger accounting software required
    • Advanced skill level of Microsoft Excel required; proficient in Microsoft Office, database software and office equipment.
    • Must be 21+ years old, have a valid driver’s license, daily use of a car on site and be available by telephone for daily contact.
    • Employee must possess the knowledge; skills and abilities listed above, and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job. Employee must be able to speak, read and write in fluent English.

    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
    • Strong business acumen and ability to grasp and utilize new technologies to improve workflow and tasks
    • Strong math analysis and computer skills
    • Capable of working independently and making sound decisions.
    • Organized, dependable and even temperament; good phone manner.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of office equipment.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of employees.
    • Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, reach and file.
